An important question to ask your mentor’s

No matter what your studying, where you’re working or who you are, you probably have a mentor. Someone you can look up to and learn from. As Cameron Fielding wrote in his blog FlipOnline, “We are all students”.

Chances are that you also have more than one mentor to look up to and ask questions as they come into your thoughts. Asking these questions is useful, yes, but it has one drawback. That is that your questions are limited to what you know you don’t know. Confusing, maybe, but it makes sense. Your mentor has more answers than the questions you can ask and has answers to questions you don’t even know you should be asking.

The solution: Ask your mentor what questions you should be asking!

The results of asking what you should be asking are almost guaranteed to hold a treasure chest of answers that will send your head spinning with sudden realizations, to half of which you will most likely say “Why didn’t I think of that.”
